Who are we?
The 15th Airedale Scouts is a mixed youth organisation based in the United Kingdom. We are committed to providing challenging activities, unique experiences and everyday adventure to youths aged 6-to-25 years old. We aim to make a positive impact in communities we work with and help develop life-long skills for scouts in order for them to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
What do we do?
We have 4 different types of roles our members can join as: Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Volunteers.
Scouts
Age range: 10-14 years old
Meeting time: 7:00 - 9:00pm every Friday during the school term.
Members in this role are for those aged 10-14 years old. Each Scout Troop
consists of 6-8 scouts led by a Patrol Leader and mainly engage in outdoor activities
such as camping and gliding. Throughtout the year, you will learn skills such as photography, camp
cooking and first aid preparation.
Cubs
Age range: 8-10 years old
Meeting time: 6:30 - 8:00pm every Monday and Wednesday during the school term.
Our Cub Scouts Pack consists of up to 36 cubs who are then divided into smaller groups called Sixes and take part in various
games and activities, as well as engage in outdoor activities such as camping and field trips.
Beavers
Age range: 6-8 years old
Meeting time: 6:00 - 7:30pm every Tuesday during the school term.
Our Beavers Scouts take part in a wide range of activities, inlcuding arts & crafts, singing and engage in outdoor activites
such as camping and sleepovers.
Volunteer
Age range: 15-25 years old
Meeting time: depending on activity dates/told privately.
This role of volunteers help support the younger scouts by working directly with them,
to helping manage a Group, to being a charity Trustee. We help volunteers get the most
out of their experiences at Scouts by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.
